The Young Lawyers Division is composed of attorneys who have passed the New Jersey bar examination and have been practicing less than seven years. The YLD’s mission is to facilitate the administration of justice, foster respect for the law, and advance the role of the legal profession in serving the public.

The YLD supports its members by providing tools needed to navigate the early years of a legal career. These tools include legal education programs geared toward young lawyers as well as social and professional networking opportunities

With an eye toward growing and developing skills necessary throughout a professional life, members of the YLD also have opportunities for involvement with committees and community outreach, such as  programs that offer information to members of the general public about specific legal topics. Other projects are designed to assist the entire Hudson County bar in developing and maintaining their legal practices. Still others are directed toward underserved members of our community, including the homeless, the elderly, and members of our military.

These programs and opportunities are organized through the volunteer efforts of the YLD members and Executive Committee.
